Today was a most boring day at work. I had practically nothing to do...that combined with it being a Monday, did not make for a productive day.

Amount of times I went to the kitchen for cups of tea/hot chocolate/hot water/cold water - 10

Amount of times I picked up the pear on my desk and squeezed and sniffed it to see if it was ripe - about 100

Amount of times I found myself daydreaming - all day long.

On another topic, the most disgusting thing I've ever seen happened the other night. Our back garden looks out onto a forest, so it's pretty dark. I had opened the back door and not bothered to put on the outside light as I was putting food out for the cat, and I felt something hard under my foot and then heard a loud crunch. I put on the light, and there on the deck was a very large quashed slug, with it's insides hanging out. Well, the dog thought this was a most delightful treat, and was licking up the guts as I was dancing around outside screaming for my boyfriend to come get the dog away.

Boyfriend thought it was hysterical though, and just laughed as the dog got stuck in to this slug. I was near throwing up at the this point, so I ran back inside as the dog ran after me....half eaten slug dangling from her mouth. She's a strange dog. She won't eat her dog food, but she'll eat the cats food...and slugs apparently.

Was out last Friday night for a few drinks. We went to a bar, which was next door to a bar made of ice. It was basically a big freezer with windows so the people in the next pub could look in. You pay $20 to get in and they give you a big fur parka. I don't even know if they serve drinks or not....I didn't see a proper bar. I had a good night though. It had been ages since I was out. I was glad I still had some cans of Irn Bru left over from my birthday though. I seem to get really bad hangovers now, even when I don't drink that much, and don't mix my drinks. Must be getting old...
