It's Monday today and I'm not at work! Woo Hoo! It's labour day which means we all get a day off. Next holidays don't roll around until christmas though, and I only get xmas day and boxing day off. boo hoo. There's a free concert happening today at the local beach. NZ band Goldenhorse are playing, so we're going to go along to that I think.

The weekend has been pretty good. We went to a bbq at my scottish friends house on Friday night, and he has two of his scottish friends visiting, so it was good to hear the familiar accents. They're from the 'other end' of Glasgopw from me though, and were taking the piss becuase I'm from Bellshill.

Not been blogging much lately. To be honest, not been up to much at all worth blogging about. One thing of interest was that I was out on Saturday night, and after sitting in the pub for a few hours, realised that no-one was smoking. We were in one of Auckland's non smoking pubs. It was great to be able to go out and not come home stinking of smoke.

Trying to organise a trip to see the Bee Gee's musical Saturday Night Fever. I think I saw it in Glasgow a few years ago, but I can't remember it. Also going to see HMS Pinafore with the boyfriend and his parents.

The work xmas party has just been announced and it's a 1920's style fancy dress party. Should be fun. Boyfriend's work party is on the same night though, and his is desert island style fancy dress. Fancy dress parties or 'dress up' parties as they call them here are really common. I've never been to so many in my life!
