The sun finally came out on Sunday. It was a gorgeous day, 28 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. We went a drive 10 mins up the coast to Brown's Bay. They had a car boot sale on, so we had a look round that...bought some cheap books. Then we sat on the beach and soaked up the sun for an hour or so before going for a wee paddle to cool down.

We also disovered a newly opened UK food shop while we were there. I could have gone mad and spent a fortune. Instead I limited myself to a box of cheerios cereal, a bag of sherbet lemons, 6 pack of walkers fries, can of heinz macaroni cheese, can of ambrosia semolina, can of mushy peas, and a can of grants chicken supreme. Oh, and 6 cans of irn bru. I was so excited going into that shop. I couldn't believe that they had all my favouirite stuff!

When we got back from the beach we hung out on the deck...boyfriend in the hammock, me on the beanbag. My back got burnt to a crisp though....my factor 15 suncream was no match for the NZ sun.

Since I'm stuck in work with only the internet to save me from going insane from sheer boredom, I thought I'd have a look at some of the blogs mentioned on my favourite bloggers sites. It seems there are a lotof bloggers out there filled with self importance. It makes me cringe to read those serious blogs where they have mistaken themselves for journalists. I guess blogging is a good way for those aspiring authors or journalists to have some creative output and have people actually read it. It's not everyone who can stand to read the stuff they blog about though. I'm certainly not one of those people.

I like blogs that are down to earth. That have an 'about' section which is humble and interesting. I liketo read about the day to day lives of people. I like it when a blog has a photograph section. I don't likereading about the software involved in creating the blog. I don't like blogs that include questions which start or end with 'dear reader'. Just a matter of personal taste I suppose.

Anyway, that's my little rant over. It seems I'm not in the best of moods today. I'm so fed up with the weather here. I keep expecting this glorious kiwi summer I've been hearing about to appear. Yet again today it's cold and pouring with rain. It's almost lunch time anyway. I usually go to the bakery across the road for lunch on a Friday. They have a nice pasta salad with pesto and blue cream cheese. They also have nice chicken wraps and hot savouries.

Tonight I'm going out after work. Meeting a friend and we're going to go see Bridget Jones. They have a food court at the cinema, so we usually go there beforehand and get some indian food. We always get thes ame thing. Butter chicken with rice, naan bread and a coke. Quite cheap at only $9.50.

Oh, and some exciting news.....yesterday, my little girl became a woman (my little dog came into season for the first time). We had to go to the pet shop and get her a little pair of pants to catch the drops of blood. They're black, and very stylish. She's coping well with it all I have to say. She's my brave little lady!
