News! I got a new job! It's in Takapuna which is only a 10min drive from home, and it's right next to the beach. It's for a company which makes digital dictation software. I'll be the only tester. They want to 'start doing things right' for a new project they are embarking on. It should be a challenge. I'm looking forward to it.

I don't start until the 3rd October, so I'll be going back to lovely Bellshill for a 2 week visit. I'll be there from 13th Sept until 27th.

Will be nice to be back, but not looking forward to the flight.

Can anyone tell me what a baby mama is? The only radio station I can get in my car is a hip hop and RnB station. There are several songs which mention baby mama's. I think they might be single mothers......

Anyone know for sure?

while I remember, here's a photo of little Bella....

Am ill today. There's a bad flu going round the office with people having to take not just one day off, but 2 or even 3! I'm hoping lots of sleep and lemsip means I don't get that ill. Anyway, my illness coupled with the shitiness of my job has meant that I'm in a very bad mood today. People who just mildly annoy me are REALLY annoying me today. My boss is the type who does as little as possible and I got so annoyed at him earlier on because I was asking him how to do stuff and he didn't know. I told him he needs to learn about these things as he's the boss and he should know the workings of his own team. He just ignored me.

I should be in bed. I want to be in bed reading the new Harry Potter book. Started it last night, but didn't get very far as I was too tired.

It was quite a nice day yesterday. The sun was shining and it was pretty warm. I went to the vehicle testing station and got my warrant of Fitness, and then went to my boyfriends cousins to drop off a saxaphone. Then we met up with some friends and went to Mission Bay for lunch. Mission Bay is like a little seaside resort. It's quite nice. We went to an Italian restaurant and sat outside in the sun. I had pizza. My boyfriend had scallops. Afterwards we went to a cafe for coffee. I had a very lovely hot chocolate with marshmallows.

We were discussing the dilema hanging over one of our friends. His good friend is getting married and he doesn't like the bride to be. He thinks his friend is making a big mistake. The problem is that his friend has no idea, and he's asked him to be part of the wedding party. What do you do in that situation? Keep your mouth shut and say you'd love to be involved, or tell your friend how you feel?

It was my birthday yesterday. I got some really nice diamond earrings from my lovely boyfriend, as well as a cd/mp3 player for my car and the new harry potter book. The earrings are so expensive, that the backs screw on instead of just sliding on. That way they won't fall off. They also come with their own warranty. I really like them...I kept going into the toilet at work to check how sparkly they were :o)

At night just went to Takapuna to a pizza place called One RedDog. It was nice.

Just about to leave work. Felt the need to post something which really annoys me about this place, the cliquishness of the people who work here. There's no general email goes out to see if people want to go for lunch or to the flicks. People have their friends, and no-one else gets invited along.

I just don't understand that. It wasn't that way when I worked in Glasgow. It wasn't that way in my previous job in NZ. I've come to the conclusion that it's because the staff here is predominately female. In my other jobs, it's been mostly male staff.

It's hard to work in an environment like that. Afraid to take part in a conversation in case it's a private conversation. It's very hard to try to make friends.

In other news, I'm going to see the Black Eyed Peas in concert in October!!!!
