Been in the UK for a week and a half now. It's been good being back at home, staying with the parents. Am loving the central heating. So nice and toasty. It's strange seeing your home through the eyes of someone else. My boyfriend said the place is a flithy mess because there's so much litter everywhere. Especially at the side of the motorway from Glasgow. He's right, the place is filthy with litter everywhere. I'd never really noticed before. He asked, didn't people care? It's quite sad to say that the answer must be no.

In NZ, school girls are just that, girls. They wear school uniforms (long skirt and shirt, or dress), they have their hair in ponytails or pigtails. He couldn't believe how the school girls here look, with their high heels and short skirts, and face plastered in makeup. He wondered why they were getting cheap tickets on the train....he didn't realise they were under 16 and going to school dressed like that.

He did say though that people here were very polite. He said he was very surprised at that :o)
